Today, March 3rd, we celebrate World Wildlife Day, a date that is very special to us because it allows us to reflect on the invaluable contribution of fauna and flora, which sustain ecological stability, environmental health, and the well‑being of all humans. This date finds us facing a great challenge: the multiple and growing threats suffered by wildlife species, including the almost indiscriminate loss and degradation of habitats, the illicit trade of species, pollution, illegal mining, and the spread of diseases. These factors put many species—and biodiversity as a whole—at risk of extinction, not only in Panama but also across the planet.
That is why today we make an urgent call to take concrete and decisive actions to stop this absurd destruction of life itself on Earth. The conservation of wildlife is a priority, and we therefore appeal to individual awareness and collective action to preserve and strengthen our ecosystems in the face of human pressure and climate change.
And in the face of the challenges that the survival of life on planet Earth encounters, and the challenge that this poses for the well‑being of future generations. At MiAmbiente, our commitment is to responsible environmental management, environmental education, and the implementation of effective conservation actions. Our goal is to guarantee the protection of species and ensure a sustainable future for all.
By caring for life on Earth, we care for the life of our own species and the survival and well‑being of both current and future generations. MiAmbiente remains active in the field.
